    Chicago - Money is pouring in to help all of the homeowners hit hard by flooding in Cook, DuPage and five other counties.

    The feds have approved $43 million in disaster assistance.

    Many residents are still trying to make repairs from flooding in late July and early August.

    FEMA has now conducted more than 16,000 home inspections to decide which homeowners will be eligible for federal grants and low interest loans.

    You can still apply for help if you have a claim.
