Fictional Lifetime Movie About Drew Peterson Premieres

Chicago - Tonight Lifetime aired "Drew Peterson: Untouchable," the fictionalized story of the accused wife killer. Today, Peterson watched the movie while sitting in jail. Relatives of one of his alleged victims were also watching.

Hysterical and filled with inaccuracies is how Drew Peterson's attorney Joel Brodsky described Lifetime network's made for TV movie “Drew Peterson: Untouchable.”

Innacuracy number one - Peterson's character played by Rob Lowe.

Brodsky brought an advanced copy of the movie to Will County Adult Detention Center where Peterson is being held on 20-million dollars bond. He watched a commercial free version with Peterson hours before it aired at 7 p.m. on Lifetime.

While the network says the movie is based on a true story and follows the fascinating tale of former Bolingbrook police sergeant Drew Peterson’s fall from grace after the mysterious disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy Peterson, Brodksy says it's bogus.

“Anybody that thinks that a Lifetime movie is a factual portrayal of anything probably shouldn’t be on a jury in the first place,” Brodsky remarked.

Stacy Peterson's family hosted a private viewing event at the Springfield Suites in Bolingbrook where Stacy and Drew met before her disappearance.

Stacy Peterson's family agrees with Brodsky and says the movie was completely inaccurate.

The 58 year old Peterson is accused of murdering his third wife Kathleen Savio. Savio was discovered laying lifeless in an empty bathtub in 2004 – her death was first thought to be an accidental drowning. The case was reopened and cause of death changed to homicide after Stacy Peterson disappeared.
