Chicago - Nine people were taken to hospitals Monday afternoon following an accident involving a CTA bus on the West Side, but none of the injuries were serious.
About 2:25 p.m., a No. 53 Pulaski bus was southbound on Pulaski near Chicago Avenue when a northbound vehicle weaved into the southbound lanes, CTA spokeswoman Wanda Taylor said.
"The (bus) operator did attempt to avoid a collision," she said, but "was not able to do so."
Nine people were taken to hospitals, according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor. Injured were eight passengers and the bus driver, Taylor said.
The injuries were all minor in nature, according to MacGregor.
