Cost to Skate a Wrigley Rink Ripoff?

Chicago - A Chicago alderman is promising to take another look at how much it costs to go skating at the new rink outside Wrigley Field.

It costs $10 for adults Wednesday through Sunday and $8 for kids, plus $10 to rent a pair of skates.

The park district's other skating rinks are free, or just a couple of bucks.

Ald. Tom Tunney said the new rink uses a combination of park district money and donations from private companies, including the Cubs.

The Sun-Times is calling for a boycott of the new rink, but the park district is hoping profits from the Wrigley rink will help subsidize other rinks that don't make that much money.
