In Chicago, the north side stays dry and the south side receives most of the rainfall.
Northern DeKalb county, Lake, McHenry, and northern portions of Cook county stay dry.
A flash flood warning remains in effect until 3:00 pm CDT Thursday for central La Salle and Grundy Counties.
At 6:05 am CDT, National Weather Service radar continued to indicate showers across La Salle and Grundy Counties with more rain adverting across the warned area from the west. The heaviest showers were located mainly in Grundy County. Radar estimates generally show 1 to 2 inches across central La Salle and central Grundy Counties with heaviest storm totals of 3 to 4 inches south of Serena and a stretch of 2 to 3 inches from Oglesby in Western La Salle County to spring valley in Bureau County and from Coal City to Mazon.
