Chicago - The next time you head to Chicago's lakefront, be on the lookout for a guy who has a unique approach to making money in this economy.
Adam Clark is a man who is on the road to recovery, one bicycle at a time.
Early afternoon on Chicago's lakefront in the summertime is a happening place, and Clark is hoping to capitaliza on that activity.
Adam has been crazy about bikes since he was a little guy, and at 31, he is breaking new ground.
Adam is a one-man band who fixes bikes with an innovative approach. Instead of having a brick-and-mortar shop with rent to pay and all other related expenses, he hops on his bike, hooks up the cart he made, piles in his tools and sign and sets up shop along the lake path, capitalizing on the customers who come his way in need of some sort of repair
Less than a year into it, Adam says every day is still a new experience.
He knows there are sure to be bumps along the way. Case in point, on the day we caught up to him, Chicago police came calling too.
Adam had a peddlers's permit from the city but was missing a permit from the Park District.
A warning was issued and Adam went on his way, but he'll be back once he gets the additional permit.
Uncle Sam may slow him down for a minute, but it won't keep him off his own unique road to recovery
