The museum is located at 57th Street and Lake Shore Drive.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the thigh and the stomach and was taken in critical but "stable” condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery. A second man, 33, was shot in the foot and went to University of Chicago Hospital in good condition, police said.

No one was in custody for the shooting early Monday, police said.

The second shooting occurred a short time later at 10:58 p.m. at 7423 S. Vernon Ave. in the Park Manor neighborhood, according to Grand Crossing police.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the leg by a person who attempted to rob him. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. The suspect fled the scene and was not in custody early Monday, police said.
