Chicago, Illinois - A Fenger High School student was charged early Wednesday with concealment of a homicide in connection with the fatal shooting of a man nearly two years ago on the Far South Side.

The 17-year-old boy was charged as a juvenile with concealment of a homicide, according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office.

State's attorney's office spokesman Andy Conklin said he will appear for a bond hearing on Thursday.

He was arrested at his home at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday for allegedly concealing the murder of 18-year-old Marshawn Kimball, of 5533 S. Aberdeen St., who was fatally shot Nov. 24, 2007, at 10843 S. State St., police said.

The suspect allegedly moved Kimball's body from where the incident occurred to a “staged area,” according to police.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
