Lyons Man Killed In West Side Hit & Run

Chicago Police are looking for the vehicle that fatally struck a Lyons man in an early Saturday hit-and-run in the West Side.

Larry Nelson, 60, of 7328 40th St. in Lyons, was struck by a vehicle at 1158 S. Cicero Ave., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. Pronouncement information was not immediately available.

A red vehicle traveling south on Cicero Avenue struck Nelson at 2:22 a.m., police said.

The vehicle sustained extensive front-end damage and may have windshield damage, police said.
