An off-duty Chicago fireman has been arrested after allegedly punching a Chicago police officer outside Soldier Field Sunday night -- sending the officer to the hospital on the Near South Side, police said. Scott Holland, 42, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer which is a felony, according to police. Holland works out of a firehouse on the North Side. Chicago Fire Department Media Affairs Director Larry Langford confirmed that Holland is a firefighter. The incident occurred outside Soldier Field, 1410 S. Museum Dr., after the Bears game ended, according to police. Holland and the on-duty police officer who was patrolling on a bicycle “got into it,’’ and Holland allegedly punched the officer, requiring him to be taken to an unidentified hospital, according to police. Holland will be under investigation by the Chicago Fire Department, including the fire department's internal affairs division, according to Langford. The Chicago Bears defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-14 in the game. Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
