Hernandez may have stolen as much as $11-million in an elaborate Ponzi scheme.

But he spent it as quickly as he stole it, according to the FBI and may not have all that much traveling money.

Chet Coppock worked for his Webio venture.

"He may be in Tijuana, he might be in Schaumburg. Who knows. But the thing is he's probably conning somebody right now, Coppock told us.

He is just one of the smart and savvy people who fell for Hernadez' line of patter.

"He was slick, he was really really slick. He fooled us all.," he added  Former City Hall insider Cortez Trotter is another.

He said: "None of us at least going in saw the red flags."

Both men saw a future with Hernandez and his online sports website called Webio, Coppock as an online broadcaster, Trotter doing consulting business.

But neither man looked at Hernandez' past. A simple Google search would've turned up a 1998 guilty plea for bank fraud.

Trotter denies having anything to do with the phony company's payroll or hiring. But he has been interviewed by the FBI.

The feds have frozen all assets belonging to Hernandez and his wife, Gina. There was no sign of either of them at their Downer's Grove home. The paper was still in the driveway.

Trotter said: "I have no idea where he is. I think he should probably think about turning himself in."

Coppock added: "He's clearly gonna wind up in an orange jumpsuit."
