If it's Sunday in Chicago, to about half of the city, it's Bears Sunday. To the other half it's Sunday ... who cares about the Bears. They have any number of passtimes to consider, depending on the weather and opportunity.
Some Chicagoans make a beeline for the bar, some others make a beeline for church. Others make a beeline for the outdoors.
Bears fan Ed Whittington gets decked out from head to toe for some football every weekend.
Adriana Zabrowsky is a devout Bears fan, but today she was outside to smell the last of the flowers, and savor maybe the last great weather day of the year. She was rooting for mother nature.
Jerry Llama agreed with Zabrowsky. The only bears he wanted to see was at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
With temperatures in the high 60s, some folks were having brunch al fresco, going to the theater, or taking a leisurely stroll.
While some people couldn't have cared there was a Bears game on, Brandon Bauer wasn't one of them ... he just wasn't allowed to watch. He had to go with his fiance to register for their wedding. Poor Brandon wasn't allowed to complain either.
So when it's Sunday in Chicago, it's not all a story of orange and black ... it's a tale of two cities, at least.
