Chicago - A man's body was recovered from Chicago River on the Near North Side Sunday afternoon.
As of 2:27 p.m., the police Marine Unit was trying to remove a body from the water near Division and Hooker streets, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said the body was that of a white man in his 50s, and an autopsy will be performed Monday.
Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
