Badly Decomposed Body Found

Chicago, Illinois - The badly decomposed body of a man was found in an abandoned building Sunday night in the Northwest Side Montclare neighborhood.

About 8:45 p.m., a body was found in an abandoned building in the 7100 block of West Grand Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that a “very badly decomposed” body was found in the building.

The unidentified white male, of unknown address, died from unknown causes at 7192 W. Grand Ave., according to the Medical Examiner.

He was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 11:40 p.m. Sunday night, according to the Medical Examiner.

Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
