A 3-month-old Stony Island Park neighborhood girl found unresponsive at her South Side home Friday afternoon was murdered.

Aurora Hall, 3 months, of 1745 E. 84th Pl., was found unresponsive at home and pronounced dead at 10:32 p.m. at University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

A Saturday autopsy determined Hall died of subdural hematoma from blunt head trauma and child abuse and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Police responded to Aurora’s home about 3:45 p.m., police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor said.

Sources said the girl was choked.

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is investigating, but has had no prior contact with the family, according to department spokesman Kendall Marlowe. There were no other children living in the home.

Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
