Chicago - A fireball lit up the sky Wednesday night, leaving many asking, what was that?
Scientists believe a meteor streaked across the Midwestern skies around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
One observer described it as an enormous ball of light and trail that traveled from the northwestern sky.
The National Weather Service says the meteor soared past five states.
