Chicago - Three people between 61 and 70 who were reported missing over the past week from the same North Side nursing home have been found safe and unharmed, and have been returned to the home, police said Wednesday morning.
Belmont Area Special Victims Unit detectives issued endangered missing persons alerts for the three, all of whom went missing from the Balmoral Nursing Home at 2055 W. Balmoral Ave.
Donald Stewart, 70, was last seen on Wednesday, March 24, when he walked out the front door of the nursing home, police said Tuesday. He apparently suffers from schizoaffective disorder, dementia and depression.
On Friday, Earnest Wade, 61, also walked out the front door of the nursing home and hadn't been heard from as of Tuesday afternoon, police said. He suffers from schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder and acoholism, the alert said.
On Monday, 64-year-old Josephine Gallegos left through the front door and had yet to be seen or heard from, police said Tuesday. She also suffers from a schizoaffective disorder.
Police reported Wednesday morning that all three had been found safely. Stewart was found at a local hospital.
