Chicago - A bill is on Governor Pat Quinn's desk to move the primary elections back to March.

The primary had been in March for decades until 2006, when Illinois politicians moved it to February to help Barack Obama's run for president.

The main sponsor of the bill expects Governor Quinn to sign it.
