Crown Point, Ind. - A northwest Indiana teen was sentenced to 24 years in prison Thursday for sexually assaulting two girls on their way to school in separate incidents last year.

Davon Dwayne Hall, 18, of Gary, pleaded guilty Feb. 4 to criminal deviate conduct and child molesting, according to a release from the Lake County Prosecutor's office.

On Feb. 26, 2009, a 15-year-old Gary girl was standing in the doorway of a building in the 1800 block of Mississippi Street waiting for a school bus when Hall walked up behind her, put one hand around her and used the other to put a knife to her throat, the release said.

He forced her into a vacant house across the street and forced her to perform oral sex on him, then attempted to perform sex acts on the girl, the release said.

On March 26, 2009, a 12-year-old girl was on her way to catch the school bus in the 1900 block of 19th Avenue when Hall grabbed her, pulled her hair, stuffed a “do-rag” in her mouth and dragged her into a nearby abandoned house, the release said.

Hall forced the girl to perform oral sex on him, then pulled out a knife and threatened her and her family if she told anyone, the release said.

The older girl testified at the sentencing hearing, telling the court she does not see herself as a victim because she is still alive and that she forgives Hall, but does not want him to attack other girls. The girl said she told Hall during the attack that she is saving herself for God, the release said.
