The protest was mostly quiet as thousands of fans were entering the stadium.

The group represents a number of immigrant rights organizations who are against the immigration law Arizona recently passed that requires police to inquire about immigration status of people suspected of being in the country illegally.

The protesters passed out posters to people going into the stadium, encouraging them to wave them during the game.

They said they’ve gotten a mixed reaction from game-goers; some fans were very supportive; others were not.

Even if they don’t get people to boycott, protesters say they hope they at least made some people aware of the bill and made them think about it further.

Critics of Arizona's law say it will lead to racial profiling.
