Chicago - If you're frustrated with your internet connection, it could be because Illinois has one of the slowest connections in the country.

According to Akamai Technologies, Illinois comes in seventh for the slowest internet connection rates in the country.

Alaska tops the list with the worst service.

New Jersey and Washington, D.C. came in second and third.

Georgia and Washington rounded out the top 5.
