Chicago - A man who was shot Wednesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood and later died has been identified.

A man suffered a gunshot wound to the back in the 900 block of North Central Park Avenue about 7:15 p.m., police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.

Terril Bell, 37, of 4441 W. West End Ave., was pronounced dead at 8:26 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The medical examiner’s office used 3601 W. Augusta Blvd. as the address of the shooting.

The man was initially taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Mirabelli said.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Thursday and Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
