Police Seek Sexual Assault Suspect

Chicago, IL. - Chicago Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for the sexual assault of a 53-year-old woman in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The woman was assaulted in an alley in the 3800 block of North Whipple Street about 6:15 a.m. Monday by a Hispanic male who implied he had a gun, according to an alert issued by the Grand Central Area Detective Division.

The suspect, wanted for aggravated criminal sexual assault, is believed to be 25 to 30, 5-foot-10 to 6-feet and 200 to 210 pounds with black hair and a light complexion, the alert said.

He was last seen wearing a multi-colored polo-style checkered shirt, khaki pants, white gym shoes and a diamond stud earring in his right ear.

The suspect was reportedly driving an older-model orange vehicle. The vehicle was possible a classic from the 1960s.

Police are reminding residents of the Albany Park police district (17) to be aware of their surroundings, walk in pairs and report any suspicious activity.
