Chicago - Police in Skokie are looking for a burglar who is sorry for his crime.

Police say the man broke in to a home there on Aug. 27 and stole some jewelry from a safe in the bedroom.

He also stole money, a camera and a laptop.

He repeatedly apologized to the woman while he was in here house and he promised to call her once he pawned the jewelry to tell her where it is so she could get it back.

It was her mother's jewelry.

The man claimed he stole the jewelry because he hasn't had a job for a long time and had three children to support.
