Ford Heights, IL. - A woman was arrested early Monday after allegedly kicking and biting police officers responding to an assault in south suburban Ford Heights.
Regina Tillett, 29, of the 17000 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Hazel Crest was charged with three counts of battery to a peace officer, resisting arrest and assault, according to a release from the Cook County Sheriff’s office.
Early Monday, police responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of East 15th Street in Ford Heights, where Tillett was allegedly attacking another person, the release said.
When police attempted to take her into custody, she allegedly bit one officer, kicked another and kicked a door on a squad car -- which struck another officer, the release said.
The officers were treated for minor injuries.
Tillett appeared in court Monday and was given a $7,500 bond, the release said.
