Chicago - Beer and wine at Walgreens?

The Deerfield-based drug store chain is getting its shelves ready for alcohol.

The reason a company officials says is consumer demand, not the recession.

Walgreens must still go through an extensive licensing process, which means expect to see beer and wine in stores in about 12 to 18 months.
