CHICAGO - They are like eyes in disguise. Seven security cameras surround the outside of Tony Lamon's home. He says he put the cameras up to protect his family.
At his central security command in his master bedroom, Lamon shows us the three men he says tried to break into his home in broad daylight last Friday.
You can see them walking by the front of his house. One of the guys casually splits off and goes directly to the side door where he tries to pick the lock. It doesn't work, so all three go to the back.
Two of the guys go up the back stairs, look through the window and Lamon says they see his sister in law rocking her newborn baby to sleep in the bedroom.
The three guys act like they are leaving. But just minutes later they're back. As one guy keeps a lookout, the other two put on scream masks and go up the back staircase again.
Luckily, they can't get through the dead bolt on the door and they finally leave. Lamon, who is a former marine, hopes they see this on TV and know that Chicago police are now on the case.
"You have a lot of bad things happening everywhere but they just picked the wrong house to come to,” says Lamon.
