Murray Hill Center provides conference room facilities and recruiting services for market researchers who analyze the latest advancements in consumer products and business services. At Murray Hill Center, we recruit candidates who participate in various research studies based on our client’s specific target profile. We then host the market research project in our upscale facilities, which are specifically designed with focus group conference rooms, viewer observation suites, and modern audio / video recording technology. We support a wide variety of market research studies, such as vodka taste tests, mobile phone applications, pharmaceutical drugs, computer software, website design, mock jury litigation, TV commercials, political campaigns, and much more.

We are searching for an Office Manager to join our winning Chicago team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the complete satisfaction of our clients & guests and support their efforts to have a flawless research project.
  • This leadership position is the direct manager of several associate positions, whose job is to directly support the client during the focus group session.
  • Arrange the food & beverage service based on the client’s request, which can range from quick take-out to exquisite dining.
  • Oversee the audio and video recording process and assemble the necessary material for the client’s final use.
  • Organize and manage all shipping and receiving, including the client’s study material and general office supplies.
  • Oversee the check-in/check-out process of study participants.
  • Office responsibilities include answering the telephones and greeting our clients and guests.
  • Record all expenses, create client invoices, process payments, and manage accounts receivable.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and facility maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain the audio / video equipment and recording supplies.

This position reports directly to the facility Director and also supports the facility Project Manager in the execution of their duties. This position has the potential to grow in responsibility and direct advancement in the area of sales and project management

Successful candidates will have the following qualities:

  • Customer service skills, as demonstrated with experience in a customer service work environment.
  • High-energy personality with a confident, outgoing, professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in marketing or related field.
  • 1-2 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, and capable of leaning our proprietary software system.
  • Flexible work hours. This is a full-time leadership position that will necessitate opening early or closing late based on our client’s schedule.
