A raid on a puppy mill in White County, Tennessee has rescued more than 250 dogs kept in deplorable conditions. They were taken found filty, small cages and apparently had little food or water.

40 of the dogs have been accepted by Chicago's Anti-Cruelty Society. After they are examined by a vet, most will be put up for adoption Saturday morning.

Among the dogs are Poodles, Miniature Pinschers and Pomeranians.

The Anti-Cruelty Society is located at 157 W. Grand. For more information, contact the Anti-Cruelty Society at 312-644-8338.
