Jeff Goldblatt, a two-time Emmy Award winner, is the co-anchor of FOX Chicago News at 9:00 p.m.

He's called Chicago home since the fall of 1999, when FOX News Channel hired him as a Midwest correspondent for the network, based in Chicago. For the next nine years, he essentially had a front row seat to the world's biggest news events, covering everything and anything, and wherever he got sent: Hurricane Katrina (check); political conventions (check); war zones- Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel, West Bank (check).

So, why did he leave the road? What prompted him to put down his suitcase for good and transition to the anchor desk in 2008? Plain and simple: love for life. As trite and sappy as that might sound, his close calls with artillery rockets and bullets served as reminders of the fragility of life.

Jeff and his family live in the northern Chicago suburbs. He met his wife in Chicago. They have four kids. All born in Chicago.
