MIAMI (AP) - The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat both feel tonight's Game 2 will be better than the Eastern Conference finals opener. Despite the Heat's down-to-the-wire overtime victory on Wednesday, the teams combined for 41 turnovers and 58 personal fouls. Pacers coach Frank Vogel says his team believes "our ability to beat this team has strengthened after Game 1."
NEW YORK (AP) - Pacers forward Paul George has been selected to the All-NBA third team. Joining George on the team is Houston's James Harden, Miami's Dwyane Wade, Golden State's David Lee and Lakers center Dwight Howard. Heat star LeBron James was a unanimous pick for the All-NBA first team.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A record-tying four women will start this year's Indianapolis 500. Pippa Mann, Katherine Legge, Ana Beatriz and Simona de Silvestro all qualified for the 33-car starting field. The Indy 500 is Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Gomer Pyle will return for this year's Indianapolis 500. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced yesterday that actor Jim Nabors will be back to sing "Back Home Again in Indiana" during pre-race ceremonies on Sunday. Nabors missed last year's race due to heart surgery.
