ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals start the day on top of the National League Central division. Adam Wainwright will make his fifth start against the Pittsburgh Pirates this season as the two teams continue their series Tuesday at Busch Stadium. The right-hander has a 1.61 earned run average in the previous four outings.

CHICAGO (AP) - Right-hander Jake Arrieta (ehr-ee-ET'-uh) pitches Tuesday night as the Chicago Cubs try to extend the Milwaukee Brewers' losing streak to seven games. Anthony Rizzo's back is still stiff and Cubs manager Rick Renteria says the first baseman may need an MRI to see what's wrong. He's missed the last seven games.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Chicago White Sox begin a five-game road trip Tuesday night in Minnesota. Right-hander Hector Noesi (noh-eh-SEE') will start the first of two games against the Twins. The Sox made some notable roster moves over the weekend, trading Adam Dunn to Oakland and Alejandro De Aza to Baltimore.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The Chicago Sky play a winner-take-all Game 3 Wednesday night against the Indiana Fever in the WNBA playoffs. The Sky rallied for a two-point victory in Game Two after dropping the series opener. The winner of the series will play Minnesota or Phoenix in the WNBA finals.
